Fredericia Furniture is a Danish furniture company established in 1911. The family business is managed today by Thomas Graversen and is based on close collaboration with designers and a shared passion for designer furniture. The ambition of the brand is to create furniture where function and esthetics go hand in hand. Fredericia Furniture’s ambition is reflected in collaborations with famous designers such as Jasper Morrison, Space Copenhagen, Nanna Ditzel, Børge Mogensen and Thomas Pedersen, to name but a few. One example of a product of such a partnership is the Swoon lounge chair from 2016. Comfortable and sophisticated, it fits in equally well in the home or in public lounges. Designed by Space Copenhagen, Swoon combines a molded fabric or leather shell with soft fabric cushions. Perhaps the most popular product in Fredericia Furniture’s range is the classic Spanish Chair, designed by Børge Mogensen. The unique frame is made of dignified materials such as solid oak and saddle leather. This helps to create a chair that only gets more beautiful with each passing year. The chair was launched back in 1958 as part of an innovative approach to everyday living, but is as relevant today as it was then.
