Plasterworks A Rug is made by the Italian carpet manufacturer cc-tapis. Behind the design is the design duo David/Nicolas who have created a rug in an innovative shape with soft lines. Plasterworks A Rug is made by hand from cotton and wool from the Himalayas with elements of silk and measures 170 x 300 cm.
David Raffoul and Nicolas Moussallem have established a global presence since they set up their studio, David/Nicolas, in Beirut in 2011. Their innovative approach to contrasting materials, coupled with their unique way of blending retro, contemporary, and futuristic elements, gives their work a timeless esthetic. The idea behind the rug was conceived during a lunch at Kaleo restaurant in Beirut, which was also designed by the duo. Inspired by the triangle pattern adorning the restaurant's walls, a pattern was created with soft lines, inventive color combinations, and contrasting textures.
