The CH22 is a classic lounge chair from Carl Hansen & Søn, with a strong expression of archetypal Danish design. The chair is designed by Hans J. Wegner, a designer known today as the 'Master of Chairs,' with over 500 different models in his oeuvre. This model was developed in his debut collection for Carl Hansen, alongside the CH24 Wishbone Chair and CH25, among others. It is precisely the CH22 that gave rise to the closely related dining chair, CH26, with the same design language.
This version of the chair comes with a robust construction entirely in solid oak, except for the generously curved backrest, which is made of veneer. Here, you can choose between a finish of either black lacquer, clear lacquer, white oil, oil, or soap. This makes it easy to find just the right chair that suits your home and your taste. The CH22 chair comes with a woven seat in a naturally colored paper cord. It is also available in walnut as well as with a black seat.
