Happy Bin RE Small is designed by Michel Charlot for the Vitra brand. The waste bin is made from high-quality, recycled material from Germany's "Gelber Sack" household waste collection. Through a meticulous process, plastic packaging is sorted, cleaned, shredded and recycled into injection-molded polypropylene. The material is marked by small color spots that provide subtle nuance variations and harmonize with the soft irregular shape of the waste bin. The designer was inspired by a sculpture by Hans Arp in creating the waste bin, which gives it an organic design language. This contrasts with the usual, austere office environment and offers a functional and elegant interior detail.
