Eames Fiberglass Armchair DAW is one of the original armchairs by Charles Ray Eames that gave birth to the popular range of plastic chairs. At the start of 2020, Vitra relaunched the armchairs, following on from the earlier success of the regular chairs without armrests. In addition to the DAW model, Vitra also launched the DAR and DAX in fiberglass.
At Nordiska Galleriet, you can buy the Eames Fiberglass Armchair DAW with a beautiful fiberglass shell, implemented in four different colors. This in turn can be combined with a base in either ash or maple. The latter wood is also available in three different finishes, allowing you a choice of a dark brown, black, or golden stain.
Charles Ray Eames fiberglass chairs launched in 1950 and were groundbreaking for their time, both as regards method of manufacturing and as regards their practical versatility. Because they were an immediate success, it did not take long for the designer duo to develop an array of new bases for the chairs, now iconic.
