The modern design classic CH24, also known as The Wishbone Chair, is one of Hans J. Wegner's earliest and most celebrated works for Carl Hansen & Søns. The CH24 is available in a variety of woods and finishes. A cushion can be added for extra comfort.
The chair has been in continuous production since 1950. With its distinct Y-shaped back, the chair is a stylish and tasteful choice around the dining table. Despite its striking appearance, there is a long process to produce the chair. The hand-stitched seat alone is made from over 120 meters of waxed paper cord that has been carefully cut.
The Wishbone Chair is a favorite and a chair we particularly like at Nordiska Galleriet, a view we share with our customers. Wegner combines attention to detail and skilled craftsmanship with Scandinavian clean lines, making the chair a widely used design icon. We often use CH24 as a comfortable dining chair, and thanks to its many options, the Wishbone Chair can be adapted to specific needs.
