The Eames Fiberglass Armchair DAW is one of the original armchairs by Charles & Ray Eames that gave rise to the popular series of plastic chairs. At the start of 2020, Vitra relaunched the frame chairs, after the regular chairs without armrests were a success the year before. In addition to the DAW model, Vitra also launched DAR and DAX in fiberglass. Charles & Ray Eames fiberglass chairs were launched as early as 1950 and were groundbreaking for their time, both in terms of manufacturing methods and their functional versatility. As the success was immediate, it wasn't long before the design couple developed a range of new bases for the chairs, which are still iconic today.
