The Alba 465 ceiling lamp was designed by Mariana Pellegrino Soto in 2017 for Oluce. The lamp is part of the Alba range, which consists of several luminaires, all of which are inspired by a droplet of water. Alba 465 consists of a glass shade made of polished opal glass that provides a fine, diffused light. The transparent cable gives the luminaire a fresh look and contributes to the minimalist design. Alba 465 comes with a ceiling rose for a stylish hanging.
Mariana Pellegrino Soto was born and raised in Venezuela. At 18, the designer moved to Italy to study design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome. During her final year at the school, collaboration was established between the school and the Oluce brand. The lamp company decided to go ahead with Mariana Pellegrino Soto's contribution and developed it into a small but powerful product that is now available all over the world.
