Coupé 3320 is a floor lamp from the Coupé range by Oluce designed in 1967 by Joe Colombo. The lamp and the other lamps in the range were launched as a complement to the Spider collection, also designed by Colombo for Oluce. The lamps in the two range have similar metal bases and curved, chrome-plated metal frames. What really sets Coupé apart from Spider is the semi-circular frame of Coupé 3320 made of painted aluminum. The shade is available in either a white or black finish. The modern lamp has a clever mechanism that makes it possible to direct the light different ways by moving the shade up, down and sideways.
The Coupé 3320 lamp is part of the Coupé lighting range, which also includes table and wall lamps. In 1968, the lamps in the range were awarded the International Design Award by the American Institute of Interior Designers. The luminaires are also part of the permanent collections of the MoMA in New York and the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich.
