Nemo Lighting was established in Milan in 1993, and is today one of the world’s leading lighting companies. From the very beginning, the ambition was to create hypermodern lighting, and Nemo Lighting’s roots are in the strong, innovative power that has always distinguished Italian design.
The range of exclusive lamps includes models designed by Carlo Forcolini, Jehs + Laub, Ilaria Marelli, Karim Rashid, Javier Mariscal, and others.
Lighting for every need and mood
Among all the classics, there is one standout: Projecteur 365 by Le Corbusier, which comes in many different versions, both as indoor and outdoor lamps. “Useful forms” was the name of the movement that Charlotte Perriand helped create in 1949. She designed the Pivotante à poser table lamp. The base is large, made of steel, and consists of three parts made of lacquered aluminum. Two of the parts can be rotated around the central axis, allowing the light to be directed. Charlotte Perriand designed several lamps for Nemo Lighting. She did not regard lamps as a decorative element, but as technical and functional solutions; tools for specific needs. Her minimalist approach made her creations timeless. Like her furniture, the lamps are also movable, rotating and moving, adapting to your needs.
Nemo Lighting is famous for its Masters Collection, a unique selection of emerging designers who have all contributed to modern design, including Le Corbusier, Franco Albini, Charlotte Perriand and Kazuhide Takahama. Nemo Lighting received a number of major awards in 2016, including for the TRU lamps by Roberto Paoli, Giò by Angeletti Ruzza, and, of course, for Projecteur by Le Corbusier. The award was presented by ADI Design Index, Compasso d’Oro.
