The Serpente Table Lamp by Martinelli Luce was designed by Elio Martinelli himself and introduced in 1965. Elio Martinelli is the founder of Martinelli Luce and has spent his entire career creating functional and beautiful lighting for both the public environment and the home, including the beautiful Serpente which is available as a table lamp and floor lamp.
The name Serpente comes from the Italian word for snake, which is reflected in the shapes. The table lamp has a soft, curvaceous design and a snake-like base with a swivelling armature in white lacquered metal. The opal white methacrylate shade illuminates when the lamp is switched on and spreads a warm white glow around the room. In 2015, the lamp was introduced in a commemorative gold finish to celebrate Serpente's 50th anniversary.
