Theia - Floor Lamp is designed by Mathias Hahn for Marset year 2016. The floor lamp takes its name from the Greek goddess Theia, goddess of the sun and dawn. Theia - Floor Lamp has a base and lamp foot made of iron that has been lacquered. At the top of the lamp base are two shades, one metal and one plastic. Together, the lacquered metal shade and the slightly red transparent plastic shade create an interesting contrast. The different positions of the shades contribute to the modern look of Theia - Floor Lamp.
With Theia - Floor Lamp, Mathias Hahn wants to express his fascination with light. When he created this lamp, he wanted to merge shadow and light into one. The result is a functional lamp that can both provide subtle, indirect light and a brighter, direct light.
