The Pao Steel Pendant 470 pendant lamp is part of the Pao series, a new exciting collaboration between the Danish brand HAY and designer Naoto Fukasawa. The lamp is made of pressed steel with a high gloss wet spray finish that is easy to clean. Choose between the colors Soft Black, Cream White and Cool Grey. The diffuser is made of injection-moulded opalescent acrylic (PMMA), which means that the Pao Steel Pendant 470 has no visible features and fittings on the surface. This way, it gets a seamless, clean aesthetic. The lamp has a 4 meter long braided fabric cable with silicone insulation.

The Pao series is characterized by Fukasawa's "super normal" aesthetic of beautiful minimalism, where everyday objects are given a place in the world of design. The inspiration for the Pao Steel Pendant 350 is taken from a trip to Mongolia, where traditional nomadic tents called "Yurt" or in Japanese "Pao" lit up the surroundings during the night. Fukasawa fell in love with the glowing form that brought to mind the comfort, warmth and security of a home. The Pao Steel Pendant 350 creates a warm, directional light. The lamp is also available in Pao Steel Pendant 230 and Pao Steel Pendant 350. The collection also includes a table lamp and a pendant lamp in two sizes of glass.
