H2O Pendant was originally designed by Barba Corsini. The lamp is made of metal and polyethylene and consists of a perforated cylindrical shade mounted on steel legs. In 1955, Corsini was commissioned to renovate the attic of Antoni Gaudi's world-famous La Pedrera building. The attic space became home to 13 modern apartments with the interior designed by Corsini. In designing this series of furniture, Corsini could not help but be influenced by his surroundings. Thus, all the furniture in this collection is heavily inspired by La Pedrera's characteristic façade. The inspiration for the lamps in this collection comes from the chimneys of the house.
The original design from 1955 was slightly revised in 1991 by Joaquim Ruiz Millet when the decision was made to restore the apartments to attic space according to Gaudi's original concept. When the renovation was conducted, much of Corsini's original furniture was thrown away, but architect Millet rescued the H2O table lamp and began working with Corsini to recreate the original furniture and make it available to the public.
