Getama furniture

The Danish furniture company Getama was founded in 1899 in Gedsted by the innovative carpenter Carl Pedersen. The company began its journey by producing mattresses filled with seaweed from the Limfjord. In 1910, Getama introduced its first collection of beds and furniture, marking the start of its venture into furniture manufacturing. In the 1950s, the company entered into a pivotal collaboration with Hans J. Wegner – a milestone that brought Getama international recognition. Together, they created several iconic design classics, many of which are still in production today.
