The French company Fermob has been making stylish outdoor furniture since the end of the 19th century. The first furniture to be designed was the now iconic bistro chair designed by Edouard Leclerc. The designer wanted to create a chair that was easy to fold and easy to place on sidewalks and in cafés. The Bistro chair was a success, and today it can be found all over the world.

Since its breakthrough, Fermob has continued to create outdoor furniture in smart, durable and stylish designs. Today, the brand’s furniture can be found in some of the world’s most famous places, such as Times Square in New York, Versailles in France, the Forbidden City in Beijing, and thousands of private gardens and balconies.

Iconic outdoor furniture with a sustainable design

The company’s outdoor furniture comes in a large variety of bright colors, making Fermob a bright and modern brand. To celebrate the 125th anniversary of both the Eiffel Tower and the brand’s iconic bistro chair, Fermob created a mini version of the Eiffel Tower in 2014. The installation included 324 red café chairs in the shape of the Eiffel Tower, and the number of chairs symbolized the tower’s height of 324 meters.
