Ole Wanscher designed the Colonial Chair in 1949, and the armchair became one of his masterpieces. The frame is crafted from solid oak and is available in several finishes. The cushions are filled with European down. The Colonial Chair is also available in walnut.
The armchair is a fine piece of craftsmanship and very stable in its form. With slim armrests and a comfortable seat, the chair has its own unique expression. The Colonial Chair is excellent in rooms where flexibility is important due to its slender form. For Wanscher's Colonial series, there is also a matching footstool, daybed, and small tables. Like other works by Ole Wanscher, the Colonial Chair is a collector's item.
