Chimera is a floor lamp designed by Vico Magistretti for Artemide in 1969. The elegant floor lamp is made of opal methacrylate with a characteristic curved shape. The base consists of a metal sheet which guarantees that the lamp stands stable. Chimera is one of the first lamps that Artemide produced in an almost entirely synthetic material, which over time has proven to provide excellent lighting properties. The diffuser spreads a soft shielded light that prevents glare.
With its warm, evenly distributed light, the Chimera Floor Lamp is ideal for ambient lighting in, for example, the living room. The curved shapes make the lamp at least as eye-catching even when it is switched off and the integrated dimmer makes it possible to set the light intensity for different situations and moods, guaranteeing a cozy atmosphere.
