Arflex is an Italian brand that manufactures and sells designer furniture. The company was founded in 1947 by Carlo Barassi, Renato Teani, Pio Reggiani and Aldo Bai under the name Ar-flex, which stands for flexible furniture.
Some years later, the Fiorenza Armchair by Franco Albini and the Delfino Armchair by Erberto Carboni, whose name comes from the graceful sea creature, were among the designs. Over the next few years, more pieces of furniture were produced that have become design classics, with Marenco as an example. The sofa was designed in 1970 and is a timeless product in the Arflex range made by Mario Marenco. Several great designers have designed for the brand, including Claesson Koivisto Rune, Jayme Hayon, and Neri&Hu.
Big projects with different design styles
Arflex has been involved in several large projects involving accommodation, hotels, cafés and airports. One example is the Jaffa Hotel in Tel Aviv, which is the first luxury hotel of its kind to mix different styles to create a new ambiance. Changi Airport Terminal 1 in Singapore is also an example of what Arflex has achieved. The brand’s collection includes furniture that fits into a variety of environments and styles, including industrial, classic, modern, and contemporary.
