Designed by Naoto Fukasawa for Zanat, the Bunna Chair combines contrasts - both innovative and timeless, powerful yet inviting, expressive and stable. The chair is named after the Bunna River, whose calm headwaters in Bosnia and Herzegovina quickly turn into wild rapids on its way to the Adriatic Sea. The word Bunna also means rebellion, which is reflected in the expressive shape of the chair with its powerfully sculpted back and armrests.

The seat is hand-carved using a technique inspired by traditional wooden chairs, giving it a tactile softness and a comfortable, curved shape. The long backrest enhances seating comfort and creates an enveloping feeling. Although Bunna Chair differs from Fukasawa's previous works, his design philosophy is clearly present in its balanced proportions and carefully crafted details.
