Lampyre w163 is a table lamp from Helsingborg-based Wästberg, designed by Inga Sempé. The name comes from the French with Lampyre meaning glow-worm, which is reflected in the glow that the table lamp emits. It is made entirely of opal-white glass divided into two parts, where the light is diffused softly through the glass and in both upward and downward directions. Lampyre w163 is equipped with a dimmer, so the light can be adjusted from a warm white cozy light to a stronger white light that illuminates a larger part of the room.
The w163 lamp is available in two sizes, the smaller version with a height of 31cm and the larger version with a height of 50cm. A light source with E-14 socket that is dimmable is preferable, and can be operated with a dimmer on the 2.5 m transparent cable. Lampyre w163 and its soft shapes reflect Wästberg's philosophy, which is all about soft values and pure esthetics. It looks great in the hallway, window or bedroom and, with its understated, stylish design, it suits most homes.
