Gridlock Ceiling 1912 is a ceiling lamp suspended from a longer brass wire. It is part of a series of raw and abstract brass lamps, whose style is inspired by modernist architecture. The series is designed to give an industrial impression in its simple style and elegant grid. Each lamp has been assembled by hand from thousands of small brass details.
The designer behind the product is Philippe Malouin. Born in Canada, Malouin began working for designer Tom Dixon. His other works include tables, rugs, chairs, lamps and other art objects. Recently, Malouin won the Hotel W Designer of the Future Award and Wallpaper.
