Peter J. Lassen 1930 – 2019

Peter J. Lassen began his career in the Danish furniture industry, working with some of the most influential designers, such as Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton. These early experiences shaped his view on design – always focused on a perfect balance between form and function. In 1982, he realized his vision by founding Montana Furniture, where the modular and flexible shelving system became a central product line. These shelving systems, which allow users to create personalized configurations, quickly became popular and have since cemented their place as design classics.

Lassen was convinced that furniture should reflect the owner's style and needs, and Montana offers exactly that opportunity. Every part of Montana's system can be customized, from color choices to module arrangements, offering endless combinations and the freedom to create a personal home.
