Black on White Estambul is a hand tufted rug designed by Javier Mariscal for Nanimarquina. The original model for this rug was a watercolor painted by Mariscal in 1987. Then to reproduce the main features of the classic Persian rug, the design has been updated with unique lines reminiscent of those used in comics. It is a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern design in one and the same product. Carpet is made from 100% New Zealand wool by skilled craftsmen.
