The Dandy Armchair is an elegant and comfortable chair designed in 2015 by Chris Martin for the Swedish furniture company Massproductions. The chair has shapes that are reminiscent of the elegant 1930s. The table has cylindrical legs made of natural oak, black stained oak or walnut stained beech. When Massproduction's chief designer, Chris Martin, designed this chair, he thought a lot about how we want to sit and move in a room. The answer to his thoughts was the Dandy collection, which in addition to this sofa also includes sofas and a pouffe. The collection's soft, organic design encourages social interaction and new relationships. The name of the range is a reference to the concept of the dandy that emerged in the 18th century, referring to middle-class men who wanted to showcase an extravagance in terms of what they wore and how they behaved. The Dandy Armchair and the other pieces in the series share many common traits with the dandy, such as elegance, style and a relaxed attitude.
