The handwoven wool rug Checkerboard Icon is a creation from Kasthall, designed by Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg in collaboration with Kasthall Design Studio. It is a modern interpretation of a timeless pattern from Kasthall, where a lot of time and care has been spent on exploring and choosing the perfect color combinations. The color palette within the Arkad series, which includes the Checkerboard Icon, has drawn inspiration from the Scandinavian color scale, resulting in a minimalist and tasteful aesthetic. Kasthall places great emphasis on high quality in the manufacture of each rug to ensure their durability and permanence through several generations. As the rugs are made from natural materials and through different craft processes, small variations in the measurements, up to 5%, may occur. This contributes to each rug's unique charm and individual character.
