Putki Lamp, designed by Matti Klenell for Iittala, is a table and floor lamp that combines simple elegance with atmospheric design. Originally, the lamps were designed for the reopening of Sweden's National Museum. The name "Putki", which means pipe in Finnish, alludes to the lamp's vertical lines, reminiscent of compound pipes. Made of mouth-blown glass, the Putki Lamp is available in three harmonious colors that all emit a warm glow. Its base, with neat legs, is made of powder-coated steel and terracotta. The ribbed pattern on the lamp is not only a decorative detail, but also plays a functional role in capturing daylight as well as blinding the light from the light source.
