Already in the first half of the 1950s, the French designer Mathieu Matégot created the Démon shelving system, which is now back in production thanks to the Danish furniture company Gubi. The Démon has a design that feels as modern today as when it was first launched. In this design, which goes by the name Démon 2x3, the bookcase consists of two wall brackets and three shelves. The brackets with their unique design are made of black lacquered metal, while the wooden shelves create an elegant contrast. Choose between matte lacquered designs in oak or walnut or a stained version in black. In addition to these three variants, you also have the option of choosing the width of the shelf: 95 or 155 cm.
As Démon 2x3 is part of the shelf system that Matégot developed between 1952 and 1954, it is perfectly possible to combine different variants with each other to find a solution that suits you. Explore all the variants with us at Nordiska Galleriet.
