Don Gerrit Coffee Table is a collection of side tables designed by Jean-Marie Massaud for the Italian brand Glas Italia. The table is available in an all-clear glass version or a transparent glass version with an elegant insert in yellow, red, or blue glass. The base of the table is made by gluing together two sheets of tempered glass. The base and top are assembled using a polished steel plate.
The table is originally a tribute to the Schroeder table, designed in 1923 by the internationally renowned architect and designer Gerrit Thomas Rietveld. Rietveld has designed several of the most famous Italian design furniture by Cassina, including the elegant Utrecht armchair.
