The design house Ethnicraft was founded in Belgium and produces and distributes contemporary design furniture in solid wood. The company's design philosophy stems from the concept of "Emorational", which is a combination of "emotional" and "rational", and is based on simplicity, beauty and respect for the environment. Ethnicraft creates simple and functional furniture in a contemporary design with a built-in respect for the environment.

All furniture is made from solid wood, the most traditional of all materials when it comes to furniture making. By using only solid wood, including teak (which can be cut or refinished), oak and walnut, a unique natural finish is created. In addition to its own production, Ethnicraft develops new products in collaboration with other designers.

Great moral responsibility for the environment

Ethnicraft's international product development team was constantly introducing innovative new techniques for manufacturing in wood and methods of combining wood with other materials. The aim is to create a quality collection of wearable furniture. At Ethnicraft you will find designer desks and consoles, dining tables and shelves, mirrors, beds, cabinets and bathroom furnishings. All made of selected woods. The Osso dining table was designed by the Grain and Green design studio. Osso is characterised by soft curves and rounded edges that create a warm and cosy atmosphere. The M Rack bookcase is an open bookcase in solid oak or teak, designed by in-house designer Alain van Havre, who was inspired by the Dutch artist Piet Mondrian. Vertical and horizontal lines connect to create a unique grid. The M Rack works perfectly as a room divider both in the home and in the office.

Trä äis the core of Ethnicraft's collection. The company takes great moral responsibility for the environment, from the origin of the wood to the energy used throughout production, to the treatment of the products and the reduction of waste. Already today, some of Ethnicraft's collections have an FSC label, which guarantees that the product is made from recycled materials. Every effort is made to increase the number of collections with an FSC label in the future.
