535 Table Plateau Interchangeable Outdoor is created by Charlotte Perriand for the Italian brand Cassina. The table is designed for outdoor use and consists of a solid teak base and a Carrara marble top with an oil-water finish. The original model was created by Charlotte Perriand in 1937 in Montparnasse, and is a project designed to be used in several ways. As the name suggests, the table top is interchangeable. Since its creation, Perriand has used the model in several contexts, ranging from Japanese-inspired projects in the 1940s to living rooms in the Unit d'Habitation flats, Marseille. Today, the 535 Table Plateau Interchangeable is part of Cassina's Maestri collection and has now also been developed for outdoor use.
