Morrison Stool High Padded is a bar stool created by star designer Jasper Morrison for Italian Cappellini in 2003. Inspired by the delicate elegance of Danish designer Poul Kjaerholm, for example, for the PK 1 chair, he reduced the base by using simple, sophisticated stainless steel sled legs. The seat consists of a slightly curved plywood sheet in birch with a layer of cold foam and is covered all round with fabric or leather, giving a softer seating feel despite the thin seat.
The Morrison Stool High Padded is available in a variety of fabric choices as well as leather, with stainless steel, matte white or matte anthracite gray bases. Between the two sled legs is a footrest on both sides in matching finish, adding to the symmetry of the Morrison Stool. With its minimalist esthetic, it is suitable for most bar tables and is also available in two different heights. It is also available with a wooden seat and as a seat stool.
