The Pernilla 3 lounger was created in 1944 by designer Bruno Mathsson and is still manufactured today by the Bruno Mathsson International brand. Like the armchairs other two versions, the recliner is named after journalist Pernilla Thunberger, who visited Bruno Mathsson for an interview earlier that year. Today, the series of three different models is one of Sweden's best-known armchairs.

Bruno Mathsson's Pernilla 3 comes with a seat made of solid birch and a structure made of bent beech. This combination is a recurring theme in the designer's work and is recognized by the sculpturally curved legs and armrests. As a comfortable and decorative accent, the recliner also comes with a leather-covered head cushion. We have displayed the most popular color combinations between headrest cushion and upholstery. However, on request you can change the headrest cushions color.

We also offer a choice of upholstery for the recliner. Pernilla 3 can be purchased in either braided linen, full leather upholstery or in a soft and strong sheepskin. The sheepskin model is available in various colors: Black, Drake, Offwhite, and Scandinavian Gray. The leather upholstery in Elmosoft can be chosen in natural, cognac or black. For webbing and linen, you will find a black version and two earthy options respectively.
