The Eva armchair, designed by Bruno Mathsson in 1941, is an example of a classic armchair with optimal comfort. The armchair is made with a seat in solid birch and bent-glued beech for armrests and base. Bruno Mathssons had a great commitment to seating comfort. He studied this, among other things, by sitting in a snowdrift to be able to produce the perfect curves. He also experimented with bending gluing techniques. These methods result in a robust, durable structure with elegantly designed details, without being clumsy.
