38.11 is a pendant light from Bocci designed by Omer Arbel in 2012. The lamp has 4 pendants and 8 moons. The manufacturing technique is the same as for the immensely popular series 28 where several small inwardly curved cavities are randomly placed on a glass sphere. They are ideal for decorating with succulents and air planters, several of the cavities are so large that they can be planted with soil. The sphere, which measures approximately 21.5-25 cm in diameter, has 2-3 lightbulbs and 4-6 cavities. Flexible copper cables connect the spheres to plantable moons that seem to float freely without regard to gravity. The cables come standard with a maximum length of 300 cm and are pre-set during production, so they cannot be adjusted later. If a different length is desired, please contact us when ordering with the desired cable length for the longest pendant. 38.11 is mounted smoothly with a headphone connector that plugs into the ceiling mount. The rectangular bracket is made of white lacquered metal.
