The lamp is handcrafted from shoji paper, paper made from the bark of mulberry trees, and is hung with a structure of steel.The Akari 70EN is part of the Akari lamp range, a range of lamps designed by Noguchi and handmade by Japanese craftsmen. Noguchi's work is artistically linked to abstract expressionism and his design style came to have a great influence on 1950s design.All the light sculptures in the Akari range are marked with a logo representing the sun and moon, reinforcing the authenticity of each product.
