The lamp is supported by a structure of steel wires and is handmade from shoji paper, which is made from the bark of the mulberry tree.Akari 50EN is part of the Akari lamp range, a range of lamps designed by Noguchi and handmade by Japanese craftsmen. Noguchi's work is artistically linked to abstract expressionism and his design style came to have a great influence on 1950s design.All the light sculptures in the Akari range are marked with a logo representing the sun and moon, reinforcing the authenticity of each product.
