Akari 20N is a table lamp from Vitra designed by the Japanese-American artist and architect Isamu Noguchi in 1951 as part of his Akari light sculptures. Akari 20N is made by hand by Japanese craftsmen and is designed in white shoji paper with a steel frame. Shoji paper is paper made from the bark of mulberry trees. The lamp is held up by four black lacquered steel legs. All light sculptures in the Akari series are marked with a logo representing the sun and the moon, which confirms the authenticity of each product.
