String 1949-2024 Shelf is a limited edition designed by Nils Strinning for String. It was launched after winning the Bonnier bookshelf competition in the autumn of 1949. For the seventy-fifth anniversary of the String shelf, String has produced 1949 shelves with shelves in white oiled pine and wall panels in blue.

The String shelf is a complete shelf package with two ends and three shelves. Thanks to its clever design, the String shelf 1949-2024 can be combined in many different ways. The string shelf has preserved the original dimensions. This means you can combine one String shelf from 1949 with another from 2024. With blue wall panels and pine shelves, this timeless design celebrates its 75th anniversary with a special limited edition String 1949-2024.
