Oblure was founded in 2017 in Gothenburg with the vision to create innovative lighting that brings something completely new to the industry. The brand aims to preserve the designer's sense of the object throughout the design process, from sketch to drawing and drawing to finished product. As a result, Oblure now offers lighting that is more than just luminaires. Rather, they are sculptural objects that can elevate an entire room. With a Scandinavian, minimalist and functional design language, all lamps are eye-catchingly elegant and at the forefront of both innovation and originality.
The name Oblure is a fusion of the English words "object" and "allure". They are at the core of the entire brand and testify to Oblure's aim to highlight the unique, the bold and the beautiful. To achieve this, Oblure works with international designers, which has resulted in collections with strong character that surprise and captivate the viewer.
Innovative lighting with strong character
The first product Oblure is launching is the Cirrata table lamp. Designed by Markus Johansson, it symbolises in many ways the foundation of the brand with its organic and original shape. The big international breakthrough comes when the Balance table lamp is presented in collaboration with Victor Castanera. Just one week after the press release is sent out, people around the world are asking for the lamp.
Oblure is currently owned by Markus Johansson and Deniz Canpinar. Johansson is the brand's founder and Art Director, while Canpinar is responsible for the operational work. With different backgrounds and experiences, they are united by a common passion for lighting, design and function.
