19 Outdoors Lounge Bench is designed by Butterfield Brothers for NINE. The bench is made of powder-coated aluminum and belongs to the outdoor collection 19 Outdoors, which is inspired by the brothers' charity project 19 Chairs. During the Covid-19 lockdown, the design duo designed and made 19 chairs in 19 days in their garden in South London. The chairs were then sent to 19 different artists and designers who were challenged to reinvent or redesign the design with an older person in mind. They were then displayed at an exhibition in London and in parallel there was also an online charity auction, where all proceeds were donated to Age UK.
