Restore Basket is a multifunctional storage basket designed by Mika Tolvanen in 2009 for Muuto. The basket takes its name from the fact that it is made of recycled plastic bottles that are processed into polymer felt and then sewn together as mats, colored and compressed into shape. The basket is available in a variety of shapes, with widths of 48 centimeters and depths of 35 centimeters and heights of 23 centimeters. These features, combined with the round, soft shape, make the Restore Basket easy to match and place in a cupboard, on a shelf or free-standing in a hallway or room where you need easy access to storage. When Mika Tolvanen designed the basket, he wanted to create a basket with a simple design that is easy to grasp. Restore is also available as a light storage basket, Restore Tray, in several beautiful shades.
Tolvanen has received such accolades as the Bruno Mathsson Prize in 2012 and the 2017 Finnish Designer of the Year award. Mika Tolvanen's Big Hug Chair also won an award during Finland's 100th anniversary celebrations.
