Muuto is a young Danish design brand that creates with the vision of reclaiming the strong position Scandinavia had in the design world in the 1950s. “Muutos” means new perspective in Finnish and the idea of innovation is deeply rooted in the company.

Thanks to frequent collaborations with young, driven designers, exciting new, cutting-edge design is constantly being created. As a furniture manufacturer, Muuto is synonymous with Scandinavian design that challenges. Creative collaborations and traditional design

The company was established in 2006 by Kristian Byrge and Peter Bonnen. Throughout its history, Muuto has entered into numerous creative collaborations with talented designers. Among these are Staffan Holm, Cecilie Manz, Harri Koskinen, Broberg & Ridderstråle, and Anderssen & Voll. By playing with new ideas, techniques, materials and shapes, they create innovative products. Muuto stands for the essence of Scandinavian design. Among the popular products in the Muuto range is the 70/70 table designed by TAF Architects.

The table is sturdy and modern, with simple lines. The base consists of two cast aluminum frames that form the legs of the table. In December 2017, US furniture manufacturer Knoll acquired the company with the aim of doubling its sales in five years.
