A technical innovation is seen in the layers of wood that are joined over the legs and armrests of the chair, which secures the parts without the use of metal or screws. This creates an impressive cohesion and stability, with a unique construction that highlights the natural beauty and functionality of the wood.
The designer Thomas Benzen about the design : "Cover sprung from a desire to create a comfortable frame chair in wood. I aimed for a crisp and strong expression in the plywood while looking for a solid grounded expression for the frame and the base of the chair itself. Three years of play and hard work have resulted in a light yet strong frame chair where the use of molded veneer has been taken to the extreme."
