Emperor is a range of lamps designed by Neri Hu for Moooi in 2009 and this version is a ceiling lamp in three sizes. The shade is shaped like a birdcage and hand-woven in bamboo, making each one unique. Emperor is available with red or black stain. The light source is surrounded by frosted glass, allowing the lamp to spread a warm, soft glow throughout the room. Emperor comes with a black braided cord and a black ceiling cap. The range also includes a table lamp in the same design idiom.Neri Hu took their inspiration for Emperor from the well-known Asian tale of the Nightingale and interpreted the story in a modern lamp design.
