Pipistrello Table Lamp is an iconic lamp in modern design history, designed by Gae Aulenti in 1965 for Martinelli Luce. The unique expression of the table lamp was created with inspiration from the wings of the bat, which is reflected in the interesting shape of the shade, and Pipistrello also means bat in Italian. The lamp comes here in black colour with on/off switch and is non-dimmable.

Pipistrello has a characteristic cone-shaped telescopic base made of stainless steel with adjustable height between 66 - 86 cm. This makes it suitable as both a floor or table lamp. The shade has four parts that meet in the middle with a knob and is made of opal white methacrylate that lights up when the lamp is lit. The lamp base is available in several different colours and the knob in the middle of the shade comes in the same colour as the base.

Pipistrello is also available in a dimmable model and in two smaller sizes. In 2015, a gold-plated anniversary edition was also introduced to celebrate Pipistrello's 50th anniversary.
