Falcon Footstool is a footstool from LK Hjelle, designed in 1971 by Sigurd Resell as part of the Falcon series. Trained in carpentry and further educated at the Norwegian Academy of Arts and Crafts, Resell is known for his robust post-war furniture and steel designs. His design, the Falcon chair and footstool, won second prize in the Council of Industry's furniture competition in 1970 and have since become iconic in Norwegian furniture design. The footstool is an example of Resell's ability to combine practical functionality with aesthetically pleasing design.
