One of the more playful pieces of storage furniture in the design world is Componibili Smile, dedicated to the Italian artist Anna Castelli Ferrieri, who designed Componibili in 1969. Recreated by Fabio Novembre in 2017 for Italian Kartell, Componibili Smile comes in a red lacquered ABS plastic finish, making it easy to move around at 2.3kg.
Componibili Smile 4926 is the flirtatious version, with the two round shelves opening by sliding the flap to the side. The cylindrical shape allows the Componibili Smile to be built vertically, where the practical and modular solution can be combined with the entire Componibili collection. It adds playfulness to the home and is equally at home under a desk or in a child's room.
