Rope Trick is a lamp designed by Stefan Diez for the Danish brand HAY. The light arm is constructed using plastic and woven PET while the base is made of ABS and a specially designed aluminum LED module that dissipates heat. An innovative design that integrates new LED technology into a dynamic bespoke form. The screen is made of acrylic and can slide flexibly along the neck of the light. Thanks to this, diffused light can be directed to different surfaces from low level to full brightness. Thanks to its high-quality and progressive design, Rope Trick has been included in MoMA's permanent collection of design objects.

Stefan Diez is a German industrial designer based in Munich who founded his studio in 2003. His work has received several international awards, including the iF Gold Award and Best Design at the Red Dot design award. Diez is a designer with strong ideas who is always rigorous in his pursuit of true practice in furniture production.
