Constance Guisset was born on 25 November, 1976 in Paris. Guisset began studying at the ESSEC Business School, one of Europe's most prestigious business schools. Guisset also studied at Sciences Po in Paris, one of the most prestigious and selective schools in the world in the field of social sciences.
After interning for a year at the Japanese Parliament in Tokyo, Constance Guisset decided to turn to design as a career. She trained at the ENSCI design school, from which she graduated in 2007. Already a year after her graduation, Constance Guisset received several prizes, including the Grand Prix du Design de la Ville de Paris and the Prize for the Public of the Design Parade at La Villa Noailles.
In 2009, she founded the Constance Guisset Studio. The design studio is made up of designers and architects and collaborates with several French and international furniture manufacturers. In addition to product design, Constance Guisset Studio works with interior design and scenography.
The most famous product designed by Constance Guisset is probably the Vertigo pendant lamp. The award-winning lamp was developed in collaboration with Petite Friture in 2010. The large but ultra-small hat-like lamp seems to float in the air. As functional as it is decorative, Vertigo fits well in both private and public environments. Vertigo leaves no stone unturned with its unique and innovative designs.
